The Long and Winding Road to the Abbey Road Pub in Virginia Beach, VA

I love the east coast and the ocean, so I was pretty stoked to get to Virginia Beach. However, there was about 11 hours of Interstate ahead of us. All and all though, it was a gorgeous trip through the Smokey Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains in Tennessee and Virginia. Getting to the ocean was fantastic, after more than a week of trees, and mountains, and trees.....

 

We were so excited to be by the ocean, we left the video camera and the regular still camera at the hotel. So, the following images are from my iPhone.

We finally made it to the Abbey Road Pub ... awesome Beatles memorabilia on the walls! I got the t-shirt, of course!

Gilles actually played an opening set on this night!

Then we went out and spent some time on the beach. No music, just waves.

Tomorrow, up the coast to New York City!
