I had an interview on CKCU once again on David Yazbeck's "Thursday Morning Special Blend" show. I love playing that show and David is a great interviewer, BUT, I must admit that playing live in the studio at that hour of the day is not my forte. Vocals cracked a few times in the studio, but all-in-all it was a great interview. David really listens to and takes the time to research his guests. In fact, he writes for a new Canadian music blog called NxEW.ca. Here is his review of the new album. When I left the interview, I remembered that Fateema Sayani from the Ottawa Citizen was going to be doing an article about the new album and the Record Release Party at Club SAW on Friday. So I hustled down to the tuck shop at Carleton U and bought a newspaper. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the Citizen article and the colour picture of me and Amanda Rheaume in the Arts section. At noon, I was playing a little in-store solo show at Compact Music on Bank Street in Ottawa. It was fun and I got to witness first hand the very first retail store sales of "Up Hill". Of course, it was great to see friends and fans alike in a different type of venue... even a few people off the street stuck around and picked up a CD or two. Tomorrow's the big day.
